What’s Trending? The Rose Blunt.

Learn to roll a rose blunt from our test run of a few different methods!

When it comes to the cannabis community, it has often been what’s trending now, the hot new strain or most recently, the exclusive roll brought to you by Sasha.

It was the biggest craze when last week Sasha posted a tutorial about rolling a blunt with rose petals.

Quick, easy and “earthy and floral, delicious” as she describes it upon the first hit, rolling this blunt turned out to be a little more work than I expected.

The step by step process she outlines includes a lot of licking (nothing new if you roll blunts or backwoods), putting together the petals and then broiling in the oven for ten seconds to have it act as a glue and dry together, to get your wrap ready to roll. This also allows the petals to dry out more and not be so wet, which helps with an even burn that doesn’t go out when smoking your rose blunt.

I will have to admit, the first try rolling this came from the inspiration of a friend’s post on IG about a rose blunt she had just rolled, so there weren’t any instructions.

But just knowing it was possible was enough for me. Plus, I had one single rose at the house, so it perfectly timed out. Thanks, Universe!

But without the actual twitter tutorial to guide me, I never did the lick and broiling to dry, I just licked and rolled. So, although my joint had incredible rose taste, it went out almost every few puffs (it may have not if it was being passed around a circle, but I was solo and not trying to suck it down, but really enjoy the smoke) so the tip to dry it out in the oven using the broil setting is crucial. Especially if you don’t want to be annoyed having to relight your joint every fifteen seconds.

My second attempt was still done a different way, rolling it fresh and then letting it air dry over the course of a few days (not intentional, forgot to smoke it, then finally remembered I still had it.. you know.. cause I got high!)

For my last attempt I wants to try it the “correct” way using the oven to finish the petals to a dryer state. I got another gorgeous rose and set my mind to roll the perfecto rose blunt just for this blog. Check out the results below.

Pro Tip: Hold onto the flower bulb as you pull off the petals so they don’t rip.

Step One

Get a rose and pick off three petals. If you want to roll a smaller one you can do two petals, or if you want a bigger one you can do more than three. Up to you!

Grab your petals, put onto an oven safe dish and broil for 10 seconds before removing, allowing to cool.

Step Three

Lick the biggest petal about half way down to the part that was attach to the stem and stick the second petal on it, do this step with the second petal to attach the third.

After the rose petals come out of the oven they should look darker in color and limp in petal structure.

Step Four

Put into the oven for 10 seconds on broil for them to dry and be stuck together. For this test run, the last petal didn’t stick so I had to relick and broil again, the second time it seemed to come out as a wrap! Yay!

What you need to make a rose blunt
Your Rose Blunt Starter Kit should include: at least 3 rose petals, grinder, bud and lighter.

Use a tool to dump all the ground up bud into your wrap in one easy move! We used a business card.

Step Five

Grab your favorite nugs and grind them down. Using a playing card, piece of paper or business card, pick up the ground up bud and put into the wrap.

Now that the weed is inside your wrap it is time to pack, tuck and roll!

With bud inside, pack it starting on mouth tip first, while tucking under the wrap into the blunt, licking and continuing this process all the way down to the end you will light.

Step Six

Now it is time to tuck, lick, roll and repeat. Once it is rolled you will need to put back into the oven for another ten seconds to make sure it stays rolled.

Pro Tip: It helps to stuff it starting on the end you will put to your mouth, having a stuffed blunt makes it easier to roll then when you have less weed than more. 😉

Note: Different oven temperatures will broil differently. Play around with the temp and the time inside the broiler. I noticed that ten seconds didn’t seem nearly as good as 12-15!

 Enjoy!
